What fuels our creativity?

We are charmed to live in the Bay Area which is fertile ground for artistic pursuits.

Intuitive painting, ceramics, drawing, writing, sailing, gardening, and meditation - these are the things that add spice and balance to my life. In addition, I have the the charm of being surrounded by an amazing tapestry of friends who are chefs, healers, vintage clothing curators, teachers/professors, artists, musicians, yoga and pilates instructors, herbalists, silent disco party organizers, potters, goddesses, and all around badass women. Sometimes, when I think  of all of the love and creativity that I am surrounded by, I have to pinch myself. 

The East Bay is full of creators and kindred spirits. There is so much supportive energy to create, to innovate, to think outside of the box.

I am also surrounded by nature, bees, and a five year old. This wild and childlike spirit in the air helps to fuel all of my creative taste buds. 

On this Valentine's Day Eve, I give thanks to all of those who nourish me. Your light, your fire, your love, and your presence in my life is what flavors my life and offers me so much joy and excitement. As Amy Poehler said: "Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you, spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life."
